We had a great Sunrise Races / Family Races on Saturday, August 13th. Many parents raced, and the 'old folks' relay beat the kids!! Thank you to all who participated: swimming, timing, organizing the food, bringing food/drinks, etc. We have an awesome group of families! Pictures to follow.....

Sunrise Swimming Families: Plantation is hosting the Florida Gold Coast Junior Olympics this weekend, Fri-Sun, July 15-18. It is the Championship meet for the top 14&unders in the South Florida area. It is an excellent opportunity to see some fast swimming! We have 7 swimmers qualified to compete at JO's: Diego Avellaneda, Hank Contich, Jillian Contich, Rachel Contich, Adriana Cortes-Urbina, Kayla Marsden, and Kevin Wilson. From her performances at last week's Junior Olympics, Adriana Cortes Urbina qualified for the Florida Gold Coast All-Star Team to compete against the All-Stars from Florida Swimming. She will travel to Fort Pierce this weekend for the competition. We would like to congratulate her on this accomplishment and wish her the best of luck at the meet!! Go, Adriana!!!

Thank you to all swimmers, parents, and volunteers who attended and participated in our Sunset Races tonight!! We had 23 Strokes-n-Fun swimmers and 22 JO1 swimmers - a great turnout!!! The food was delicious... thank you to the Booster Club for donating pizza and drinks and to all the families who brought a dish to share. The Booster Club gave all Junior Olympic swimmers string bags, water bottles, and a key chain. T-shirts will be provided at the meet. Good luck to all JO swimmers this weekend.... swim FAST!!
